The semi-annual, statewide Hawaiian Monk Seal counts are held to track the whereabouts of these endangered animals, with volunteers throughout the islands scanning the beaches and rocky shore lines.
- Ed and I flew about the island of Lanai, and were able to spot 3 monk seals. Click on the pink markers to see a tiny photo :-)
